Plant Care Tips Made Simple

Let’s Be Friends!

Hey there, my name is Yvette.

I have always had a deep affinity for plants, but it seemed like my affection was unrequited. Despite my best intentions, I struggled to provide the care and attention they needed. I was unknowingly causing harm, unintentionally overwatering, depriving them of sufficient light, or simply lacking the knowledge to nurture them properly. Each plant I brought home met a heartbreaking demise, leaving me feeling disheartened and ignorant of their needs.

In 2019, following our move to our forever home, I embarked on a journey to become a more dedicated and knowledgeable plant parent. Seeking guidance, I turned to Google for answers to my plant care inquiries, only to find conflicting information at every turn. Through a process of trial and error, I gradually discovered what methods and practices worked best for me. Witnessing the transformation, my plants began to thrive under my care. Although I still encounter challenges with a few particular plants, I can confidently say that my once “black thumb” has blossomed into a vibrant “green thumb.”

However, my journey as a plant parent is far from over, and there is still much to learn and discover. I am eager to share the knowledge and insights I have gained along the way in a more accessible and understandable manner. My goal is to provide guidance that simplifies the complexities of plant care, allowing others to cultivate their own green thumbs with confidence and joy. May you embark on your own plant care journey and find the fulfillment of nurturing thriving green companions.

Happy Planting!

About Me

Hi there! I’m Yvette born and raised in the Philippines. I migrated in the United States together with my husband in 2007. In 2008, we birth our one and only baby girl. Throughout our journey, we have resided in three different houses until we discovered our forever home in 2019, where my passion for gardening and nurturing plants blossomed.

I currently work in the healthcare industry, pain management to be exact. However, when I’m not dedicating my time to helping others or nurturing my beloved plant babies, you can often find me embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Exploring new destinations, hiking through scenic trails, and immersing myself in the wonders of camping are among my greatest joys in life.
